First, a big thanks to Gregg Clements for helping me cut the grass today. I dragged and rolled the dirt runway and then we had to cut the grass twice to get rid of the clumped up grass. But everything is good now.

The grass was cut and dragged today, Neil worked on the dirt runway yesterday, so no work was needed on it. The grass is now growing at a rate that I'll have to start cutting it 2 times a week for now on. So every Tuesday and Friday weather permitting.

The grass was cut and the runway was rolled today, thanks to Gregg Clement for his help. When I got there at 8:45 AM, he had already had 3/4's of the field cut, including the flight line.

The grass was cut today and the runway was rolled twice. I'm going to try something tomorrow with the glue/water, I'll see how it works out.

I went to the TF sealant web site and did a rough calculation on what we would need to seal the dirt runway. Well hold on to your hat, we would need just for dust control 1- 55 gal drum of TF sealant at $1979.95 shipped and a water truck with 275 gals. of water. You have to make 2 passes and the first pass has to dry and then roll it before you put the second coat down. I don't know how much the water truck will cost, but I would say $200.00 at lease. So there it is the appox. cost.

The spraying of the dirt runway failed, the sprayer got a flat tire and the spray nozzles clogged up and would not spray. I got half of the runway done before the nozzles clogged up, but the results where not good. The TF product that was brought up in e-mail posted, you would need a water truck to apply it. So we would have to hire a contractor with this type of equipment to get the job done.

Well the work party was a success, thanks to everybody who came. The runways are is very good shape, if I can get the 8 gallons of Elmer's glue on Monday or Tuesday I will put it down on the dirt ruwway. Oh I almost forgot, the grass was cut today.

The elmer's glue and water ratio is 1 part glue to 4 parts water, so that is 1 qt to 1 gal. I'll will need 33 qts. to treat the runway.

Landolfi's work is done, but there is a lot more work to be done to finish the job.
